We are currently looking for a talented and motivated Accountant to join our Finance & Administration team located at our Belgian Headquarters in Louvain-la-Neuve. You will report to the Financial Controller.
What You Will Be Doing
You will assist and support CluePoints Financial Controller and Chief Financial Officer.
General Accounting Operations
You will assure accuracy, timeliness, and conformity with professional accounting standards and best practices in accordance with local Gaap’s (BE and US), group policy and procedures; i.e. :
Book and ensure accounting entries are in line with Local Accounting Standards;
Ensure the maintenance of company general ledgers and perform reconciliations as required;
Ensure correct and accurate accounting classification of all expenditures and documents;
Ensure correct and accurate accounting of payroll entries and accruals (payroll’s in Belgium, US, France and UK);
Ensure correct and accurate accounting of accruals on sales and expenses;
Specific analysis and process review of general ledger accounts;
Ensure integrity of the financial system to allow a timely, accurate and meaningful reporting;
Ensure Accounts Payable process with Financial Controller, payments planning, aged accounts;
Ensure Accounts Receivable follow up and maintenance of processes with Financial Controller and Sales teams (aged accounts, …);
Provide support to internal and external stakeholders (Auditors, Authorities, Operation and Sales teams,…).
Calculate and prepare monthly and annual VAT returns (BE);
Ensure TAX compliance;
Assist our fiduciaries (US and Belgium) in the preparation of the annual Income Tax return, statutory accounts and ad hoc requests.
Provide support for the monthly closing process and to issue recurring reports
Provide support for sales contracts creation and update in Odoo
Provide support for Odoo admin tasks (user creation, trainings, …)
What You Need For This Position
Accounting Degree is required;
3 to 5 years of relevant experience in a fast-growing scale-up and international environment;
Fluency in French & English;
Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Office suite: vlookup’s, pivot tables and sumproduct have no secret for you;
Good communication skills, ability to challenge and to properly collaborate with key partners;
"Problem solver" attitude and prioritization skills;
"Change Agent" with a focus on procedures and processes;
Analytical and rigorous mindset;
Odoo knowledge is a plus;
IFRS knowledge is a plus;
Consolidation knowledge is a plus.
