As Legal Counsel you will have following responsibilities:
• From a legal and risk management perspective, draft, negotiate, review and process complex agreements including SaaS, software licensing, and professional services with customers and suppliers worldwide;
• Provide advice and contract interpretation on nonstandard legal, financial, and business issues raised in contract documents;
• Be involved with the entire contract life cycle, including dealing with preparation and sending of template documents, negotiation and finalization; and internal distribution;
• Assist with template review activities to ensure standard documents are up to date with current legislation across global jurisdictions;
• Support the development a Legal Operations program through efficient process improvement and implement tools for the legal department to manage operations and reduce costs;
• Stay up-to-date with legal developments and regulatory changes impacting the organization, and proactively update company policies and contracts accordingly;
• Support the general legal matters of the company linked to the daily business and coordinate with the HR, Procurement and other teams based as needed.
Qualifications :
• Juris Doctorate or LLB (or international equivalent qualification) with around 5 years’ experience post PQE;
• Previous in-house experience is a bonus;
• Experience negotiating complex business transactions in technology contract law including SaaS licensing;
• Knowledge of Data protection, Software Licenses, AI / ML, or Clinical Trialsis a considerable advantage;
• Experience working in cross-cultural, cross-border and multi-jurisdictional environments;
• Business & solutions-minded, you are comfortable working in a fast-pacedevolving technology-driven business setting;
• Ability to successfully manage multiple projects with complex and demanding deadlines;
• Occasional business travel required.
You will be part of a legal team with teammates in the US and Belgium and report to the VP of Legal and Compliance located at CluePoints Headquarters in Belgium.
