Quality and Release Lead

What You Will Be Doing
As successful Quality and Release Lead, your main focus will be on quality improvement of our SaaS solution and release process. You will be highly committed to deliver the highest qualitative product for our end users. Your will be playing a leading role in three areas: release management, processes and people management.
You will be responsible for:
Plan and coordinate the different releases
Work in close collaboration with our other department on the release documentation according to our procedures.
Oversee the development and execution of test plans; monitor and report on test execution
Work with a team of (+10) testers to ensure the highest qualitative product delivery
Estimate, prioritize, plan and coordinate testing activities
Manage risks and resolves issues
Conduct Release Readiness reviews, Milestone Reviews, and Business Go/No-Go reviews
Communicate release details and schedules to the Business as required
Negotiate, plan and manage all release activities
Work with release engineers to understand impacts of branches and code merges
Lead and co-ordinate the Go-Live activities
Identify areas of improvement for the processes related to testing.
Make sure processes are well documented, understood and followed by the testers
Be responsible for the development of test strategies and the creation of appropriate test harnesses
Define strategy for both manual and automated testing and communicate it inside our organization
Manage and coach a large distributed testing team (+10)
Perform performance review and definition of objectives for team members
What You Need for this Position
Familiarity with testing frameworks and libraries
Knowledge of software development life cycle is a must
Excellent project management skills
Demonstrated ability to coordinate cross-functional work teams toward task completion
Demonstrated effective leadership and analytical skills
Independently driven, resourceful, and able to deliver results with minimal direction
Ability to work independently within a quickly changing environment with strict deadlines; to effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment
Proven ability to supervise, delegate, schedule and assign work to achieve goals
Ability to summarize and present test results and progress to management
Experience in working in heavily regulated environment (pharma industry, bank, insurance, …) is strongly recommended
Lean and continuous improvement mindset is a must
Strong attention to detail
Master’s Degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or related field
1+ years of experience with manual or automated testing
2-3 years of experience in people management (5+ persons)
Fluent in English
Excellent written and oral communication skills
