VP Project Management

Purpose and Goals:

  • Exemplify, instill, and adhere to CluePoints core values nurturing a positive, growth-minded environment
  • Drive staff especially Program and Project Managers to own projects
  • Foster an environment internally and externally where collaboration within the core team, across departments and with customers enables our ability to achieve high quality delivery
  • Coach teams to identify and recognize the CluePoints value proposition for our customers and deliver to that value
  • Contribute to the strategic vision and alignment of CluePoints project and program delivery services
  • Lead the team in identifying and achieving internal initiatives associated with driving CluePoints goals for project delivery
  •  Own teams’ performance through KPIs
  •  Work with managers to ensure employees are dealt with fairly and sensitively while working with employees on growth opportunities 


Responsibilities:

  • Establish a project delivery team capable of not only driving on time and in budget but also drive CluePoints value proposition and satisfaction for our customers
  • Ensure smooth collaboration amongst the team both within the team and across the company
  • Focus team on internal initiatives as well as external work to make sure that the Operations team is achieving our corporate goals and objectives (OKRs)
  • Ensure that all customer related work is tracked and logged
  • Determine process and ensure that resourcing of team is effectively done on customer facing work and internal initiatives
  • Work with larger Operations team to identify risks as it relates to delivery of our projects and mitigate where possible prior to risks turning into issues and keep stakeholders informed
  • Provide feedback, listen to and coach the individual team members with a focus on the people Managers that will manage the individual Project Managers and Project Coordinators
  • Assist in recruitment efforts to grow the team with the right skills, the right drive and the right culture fit and identify potential growth paths for the team
  • Ensure good communication and knowledge sharing across the delivery team(s)
  • Drive standardization and simplification in delivery of highly complex programs as well as straight forward projects


Requirements & skills needed:

  • 10+ years of experience with Project Managerment
  • 5+ years of experience in managing, coaching and team building
  • Demonstrated ability to mentor Project Management professionals such as Project Managers and Project Coordinators
  • Ability to travel occasionally
  • Experience working in a clinical research field, with knowledge and understanding of the regulations and standards related to clinical trial conduct and clinical data management
  • College degree, preferably in a business, scientific or technical discipline
  • Experience as a project manager in clinical development
  • Experience of coaching, influencing, and building strong working relationships
  • Ability to establish professional credibility quickly with colleagues and to gain the confidence and trust of others through honesty, integrity, and authenticity
  • Open-minded and collaborative when looking for solutions
  • Capable of effectively delegating and monitoring and adjusting workload as necessary
  • Effective English communication skills, including verbal, written and presentation skills
  • Experience working in a team environment under time and resource constraints
  • A can-do attitude, flexible and adaptable to changing priorities in a fast-growing organization
  • Ability to both set goals for team and ensure successful completion
